The Whitecliffe WME2100 is the insulated (plastic) version of the popular 100A meter isolator. The WME2100 is crafted from high-impact, flame-retardant polycarbonate, making it the industry standard for secondary isolation in domestic meter cupboards.
The WME2100 is a compact, 2-module enclosure designed to house a 100A main switch. It acts as a dedicated isolation point between the electricity meter and the consumer unit, allowing electricians to safely work on the distribution board without needing to contact the DNO to pull the main service fuse.
What sets the WME2100 apart is its twin-screw terminal system. By using two screws per terminal, the unit ensures a rock-solid mechanical grip on thick 16mm² or 25mm² meter tails, virtually eliminating the "loose connection" issues often found in standard 100A switches.
High-Impact Insulated Enclosure: Durable, flame-retardant plastic housing designed for internal meter box mounting.
Dual-Screw Terminals: Provides maximum contact area and pull-out resistance for heavy-gauge meter tails.
100A Double Pole Switch: Provides full isolation of both Live and Neutral conductors for maximum safety.
Sealable Cover: Features a sealable lid to allow for utility tagging and prevent unauthorized access to live terminals.
Ample Wiring Space: Despite its compact 2-module width, the interior provides sufficient room for bending and securing 25mm² cables.
Standard Compatibility: Fits seamlessly alongside most UK utility meters.
